Since Corrientes opened its doors in the year 2000, its founders, Mina and Giraldo have developed a club which captures the atmosphere of traditional milongas mixed with more avant garde tango tendencies from Buenos Aires. The club has been visited by important tango artists: musicians, dancers and teachers  honoured with visits by casts of TangoXDos and Tango Pasion, Miguel and Osvaldo Zotto, Lorena Ermocida, Pablo Veron, Mora Godoy, Natalia Games and Gabriel Angio amongst many other foremost tango artists from Argentina.  Mina and Giraldo work extensively as dancers and teachers touring and performing as well as teaching at regional and local tango schools. They are tango coaches for the BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing series.
