With another big weekend of salsa coming up, not much of an intro to our weekly newsletter. Instead we have stuffed information about 22 chances for you to have fun, meet new people, learn and keep fit.

Our listings have been around for over 8 years. The teacher/host promoters list and maintain their own dance activities and it is totally free for them and you.

Experienced salsa dancers know many of the tricks and one of them is to take a change of shirt for your after dance journey home. Where you've become hot and sweaty, far better to change than to allow the cold weather to freeze you up.

The Pexava Thursday Salsa monthly social at Conway Hall in Holborn tonight is eagerly anticipated. Top DJs on rotation ensure the excellent wooden floor will be kept busy and my tips, look out for the orange wedges at the end of the night and try to experience one of Shelley's wonderful smiles.

Fourteen piece salsa band "Here to Havana" are live this Friday in Kingsbury for DJ Tony's late, late New Years party, where they will be wearing out your dance shoes till 2am with the sounds of Mambo, Cha cha cha, Afro Cuban and many more favorites. DJ's on the night Erick the Saint and Tony.

South of the river, Putney start their evening with a bachata class, follow with multiple level salsa lessons and then a Friday night social.

This week's Salsatricity is in Whetstone. 
Lessons in salsa, kizomba, cha cha, merengue and bachata are followed by a multi roomed social till 1am.

Caramelo Latin Dance are very excited to present a London workshop, this Sunday in Paddington, with Edyta Czagowiec, one of the hottest and unique female dancers in the Salsa world today!

With the calendar clicking into February, many of the venues and teachers who offer salsa as courses, start that activity next week. A majority of lessons are drop in but it is worth checking which are set up as courses.

Your Monday night could include the new salsa and bachata club in Wimbledon or perhaps join Renato in Frimley at Surrey's longest running salsa venue. 

In Whitechapel on Tuesday there are open auditions, aimed at intermediate and advanced dancers, to become part of the Salsa Tropical performance team with Maria Palmieri.

Todo Latino at Salsa Temple offer multiple level salsa and bachata lessons before their late night, Tuesday, latin party.

Wednesdays in the capital are vibrant, from Hammersmith in the west, through to Bounds Green up north and everything in between. Wherever you work or live, there is sure to be a perfect venue.

February will be full of everything salsa, including a brand new venue in Kingston launching on Friday 2nd, ABCD on Saturday 3rd in Camden, highlighting the 1st weekend.
