<Hi

As we approach the holidays each of your favourite salsa clubs and classes, venues, courses and parties will either be celebrating loudly or taking a bit of time off and in some instances both.

The best place to find what is on is actually at www.londonsalsa.co.uk or try accessing our twitter feed @londonsalsauk.

Enjoy yourself over the festive season, without piling on the pounds!

That's the title of an article written by Charlotte, our favourite nutritionalist, back in 2014. Just a slight adaptment to your normal festive feasting, combined with more salsa, will see you enter 2019 feeling envigourated and not bloated.

The weekend starts early as Pexava take over Conway Hall in Holborn for a fabulous after-work social this Thursday. An on1 crossbody intermediate/advanced lesson is followed by social dancing till 11.30pm.

Holborn salsa

For Friday, Putney is always an option, with a bachata lesson to start the events, multiple levels of salsa class topped off with a social.

Putney salsa and bachata

The Persuaders (Barnes Rock 70s), Robin Bibi, Alan Warner, Andrew Heart and Ivan Hoe are live on Friday in Teddington.

The festive season continues on Saturday, with a wide selection of parties in and around London.

With a salsa room and a cuban room, Salsa Fusion host a party on Great Portland Street.

Salsa, Bachata, Kizomba, Merengue, Cha Cha Cha & Semba are on the menu in Bourne End, whilst Bachata Spice have their bi-monthly party in Kennington and there is an evening of Argentine Tango dancing with Leo & Tracey at one of London's best ballrooms in Putney.

On Sunday you can claim £2 off the salsa and pachanga workshop in Ruislip.

salsa and bachata in Fulham

The monthly salsa and bachata lesson/social is this Sunday in Fulham.

At Bar Salsa in Soho, Richard Marcel and team offer lessons with a party till 2am on Sunday.

If you love live music, then Richmond is the venue for you on Sunday.

For the next couple of weeks I'm going to be reminding you to speak with your teacher about when their regular classes will or won't be on.

Once you know, why not write them a card or pool together with other students to find a gift for the people who are making sure you have fun in your life for years to come?

Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays are always perfect nights to grab a lesson and follow with time to practice the new techniques to combine with your previous experiences.

If you are intruiged by rueda, then Tuesdays at Gabeto in Camden is a good place to learn as they run up to 6 lessons each week.

Working in the city?
Try out Tuesdays' free intro to salsa at Salsa Temple
4 levels of salsa and 2 levels of bachata lessons start at 7.30pm.
Check out London Salsa for information on how to get on the free guest list for the club.

Salsa TempleWednesdays at Bar Salsa, Soho sees Metrolatina. The Latin Collective's free salsa intro is followed by salsa and bachata lessons anf the late night club.

West Londoners flood to Hammersmith on Wednesdays most weeks but next week sees the show season starting, so an added reason to visit. If you are supporting any of the performers, why not take a class, enjoy a dance and then prepare to hoot and holla.

I had a quick flick through the diary of festive dance parties and am warning you now to order a new pair of dance shoes from santa because your London dance hosts intend to wear out your current ones.

Remember to quote A2Z to gain £10 off the Ginga Boo Kizz Festival UK, which is on 4-6th January in Chalk Farm, featuring all day workshops and all night parties to kizomba, semba, urban kizz and afrohouse.

Happy dancing,

Leigh and the London Salsa team
