Ye Olde town of London transforms over the coming week, as many of the clubs and classes take the chance to challenge their patrons (you) to enjoy the Halloween celebrations. When preparing your costumes make sure you leave yourself enough wriggle room to dance and, from personal experience, don't use cheap face makeup unless you want to end up all streaky.

If a ghost or a vampire asks you for a dance, say yes and experience an eerily, magical minute or 5.

From Thursday to Monday, Bar Salsa Soho are honouring Dia De Los Muertos by offering a prize for the best Halloween costume.

I'm not sure the vampires will be out for the Pexava Saturday Matinee Social in Islington as it runs from 2-6pm, but it may be worth taking your garlic to ward them off on your way home.

Fancy dress is optional this Saturday at the Putney Halloween salsa and bachata social, where lessons are followed by social dancing. Black cats, spiders and ghouls will be attending.

On a weekend concentrated on the undead, it is somewhat ironic that there is a live salsa band in Guildford this Saturday, with rewards to the best costume.

Five hours of tuition are offered this Sunday at Bar Salsa in Soho with Streetbeat, with their 1-day intesive beginners salsa workshop.
