Overview

Welcome to the Web site of the Roman Catholic Parish of St Teresa of the Child Jesus, Filton, Bristol. St Teresa’s is a parish in the Diocese of Clifton, and part of the Bristol North West Deanery.

St. Teresa’s is a warm, friendly church with lots of activities, and over the years we have been blessed with many dedicated Priests and laypeople. St. Teresa’s welcomes young people to be a part of all areas of Parish life. They participate as Readers, ministers of Holy Communion, Welcomers, Collectors, and the Choir. We welcome many students from home and abroad each year to our parish. They study at the University of the West of England and Bristol University. Fr. Tom is the RC Chaplain at the University of the West of England and there is Mass every Thursday (during term time) at 12.35pm in the Octagon Building on Frenchay Campus.

The Church is situated on the busy A38, one of Bristol’s main arterial roads. Within the Grounds there is a Memorial Garden to past parishioners, and an Orchard, which was purchased from a neighbour in 1969. The Church has a large car park. Next to the Presbytery, there is the old Church. This building is now used as a community hall and is used by a variety of groups throughout the week. Call 0117 9833938 for hiring details. At the rear of the Church we have a very comfortable parish social centre which is used for functions. It has a good well stocked bar open each evening 7pm-11pm, skittle alley and hall. It can be hired out for a variety of functions. Call 0117 9690834 for details of hire.

Please feel free to call into our Church. It is open each day from 6.30am until 6.00pm and we have Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament for 25 minutes before each weekday service. We would love to see you.
